Parents can set the usage time for their children by using the Microsoft account. The settings will be applied to both Xbox console as well as Windows PC. Here is how to manage time limits.
  1. You have to open your Microsoft account in a browser.
  2. Go to your family page.
  3. Select 'Screen Time' for the kid you want to set the time limits. If you don't find the kid's name, make sure you have added your kid's account to your family group.
  4. Enable 'Use one screen time schedule' to set the time limits for both the devices, console, and PC at once. You can also enable screen time separately to set different time limits for the devices.
  5. Then select 'Set time limit' option.
  6. Now, set the time for every day of the week.
The screen time will be set. If you want the Xbox to notify your child when the screen time is over, open 'Guide' > then 'System' > open 'Settings' > select 'Preferences' > then 'Notifications' > choose 'Xbox Notifications' > then 'System' > and enable 'System notifications'.

  9. Change the restrictions age limit, as you want and return to the family page.
  10. Now, select 'Web filtering.'
  11. Open the dropdown menu and select the options you want.

  1. You have to open your Microsoft account in a browser.
  2. Go to your family page.
  3. Select 'Content restrictions' for the kid you want to limit the content access.
  4. Then enable 'Block inappropriate games, apps, & media' from 'Apps, games & media' section.
  5. Go to 'Allow apps and games rated for' section and choose the age limit for your child.
