  • Go to Disk 1 and select the unallocated disk, and right-click on it, that is, our case is 50 GB.
  • You should select the New Simple Volume.
  • Beneath the ‘Welcome to the New Simple Volume Wizard’ option and select the Next option.
  • Beneath the ‘Specify Volume Size’ option and select the Next option. We will keep all the storage of disk (50 GB).
  • Beneath the ‘Assign Drive Letter or Path’, choose the Assign the following drive letter and select the letter, then pick the Next option.
  • Beneath the Format, partition chooses the ‘Format this volume with the following settings’ and explains the 3 various settings containing the allocation unit size, File system, and Volume label and select the Next option.
  • We will keep the standard settings, but they only modify the volume label name. In our situation, it is Backup.
  • Go to the ‘Perform a quick format.’
